Des and Ellise have both been practicing rope since 2018 and tying together since 2019. Their rope play leans natural fiber, eastern-inspired, hurty, and connected.
They've been leading Rope Lab, a monthly beginner-ish class in the Tampa Bay area since June 2023 where they work to create an inclusive and welcoming space, and teach classes that are thoughtful, accessible, and practical.
Outside of kink, Des and Ellise have professional training and experience in a variety of areas that influence their rope class including education, psychology, and yoga.
This class is about face rope. We’ll teach you a handful of patterns to help you get a handle on a head. Hot and objectifying, over the eyes, between the lips, quieting. Turn the bottom into a blind, drooling, rope monster. From neat and symmetrical, to messy and functional, we’ll teach you the ropes of face rope. Seriously though, some of the designs taught in this class will involve rope IN THE MOUTH and possibly OVER THE EYES, therefore, tying pairs should discuss and negotiate risk profiles and strategies to keep rope sanitary and safe-ish. Requires a full (30’) hank. Prerequisites A single column and familiarity with frictions and tension What to Bring - 1 x 30' Rope - A willing partner - Comfortable clothing that allows movement - Water bottle - Cutting tool - Notebook for taking notes (optional)
Sequences are for floor rope too! The Wild Shape Sequence leads the bottom through poses that create interesting shapes while improving sustainability to make your play go the distance. We will cover the basic components and flow of the wild shape sequence: hojo-cuffs, a simple hands-in-front chest harness, a simple agura, a simple futo, and a hogtie, with emphasis on making one pose flow into the next, and how to modulate the intensity for a range of sensory experiences. Participants should know how to tie a single column and bring 3 x 30’ hanks of rope. Prerequisites A non-cinchable single column, frictions, and familiarity with the shapes that make up agura, futo, and hogtie What to Bring - 3-4 pieces of rope (25-30 feet each) - A willing partner - Comfortable clothing that allows movement - Water bottle - Rope Cutting Tool - Notebook for taking notes (optional)
